TETRIS

Finding a paper star structure shaped using origami, I pulled apart each piece and reinforced the design by strategically placed the triangle-shapes pieces atop and aligned with one another. As I wanted to elongate the composition of the dress, I placed the entirety of the pieces completely down the front of the dress.

I envisioned this design with exaggerated hips and wanted to bring a futuristic, yet euphoric feel to this design. In order to achieve this, I cut some of the pieces into strips, making them slim at the ends and larger in the middle to the concave into one another on each ending pint, allowing the larger areas of the strip to highlight the accentuation being presented.
